On Monday, November 11th, American Legion Post #91 will begin its annual turkey drive to collect frozen turkeys cash donations, and supermarket gift cards, for the benefit of our local Food Pantry. They will be located in two locations:
- Veterans Mounument at Moss Side Cemetery in Cumberland (9am-12pm)
- Village Green in Yarmouth (9am-12pm)
Since the frozen turkeys are usually not on sale that far in advance of Thanksgiving, we suggest you purchase a $10 turkey voucher from us, and that will allow us to shop when the sales start, and therefore provide more turkeys (and/or cash) to the Cumberland/North Yarmouth, and Yarmouth Food Pantries. If you are unavailable on these dates and would like to provide a frozen turkey/voucher, please call 829-8184 or e-mail jeevewhite@aol.com and we will gladly accommodate you.
