Event Date:
Thursday, February 15, 2018 - 6:30pm

Speaker Tom Gruber will talk about Cumberland's Aging in Place program on Thursday, February 15 at 6:30 p.m.  Aging in Place Cumberland is a program that helps people stay in their homes for as long as possible as they age. The program includes a ride-assistance program, a property tax assistance program, and classes for seniors. It connects seniors with the help they need, when they need it.

Gruber, a Cumberland town councilor, initiated the program, which now has more than 90 volunteers. In addition to his role as town councilor, he is the president of the Cumberland Food Pantry and active in the Vet to Vet Program. He is retired from the US Army.

The talk is part of the Prince Memorial Library Lecture Series, featuring local experts and speakers on a wide range of topics. Light refreshments will be served. Prince Memorial Library is located at 266 Main Street in Cumberland. For more information, contact the library at 829-2215.
