Tuttle Road Project Summary

a

Phase 1 of the Tuttle Road Sidewalk Extension and Road Reconstruction project is complete.  Work began in May on the west side of the rail road tracks with the installation of drainage structures, storm drain piping, and cross culverts near 275 Tuttle Road, along with the extension of the sidewalk from the Town Office to the rail road tracks.  Work continued through July on the east side of the rail road tracks with the installation of a 16 inch diameter HDPE water main, sliplining existing cross culverts, installing new cross culverts near the existing ones, and approximately 1000 feet of complete road reconstruction which included raising the road approximately three feet.  The sidewalk was also continued from the rail road tracks to the Portland Water District pumping station.  Final sidewalk paving and clean up was completed during the last week of August.

A guardrail will be installed on the north side of the road in the near future and surface pavement will be placed in the spring of 2019.
