The Maine Turnpike Authority will begin work on the Blackstrap Road Bridge in early May. The bridge is scheduled to go to one-way alternating traffic with traffic lights beginning the week of May 7th. The repairs will include replacement of the bridge wearing surface, work on the bridge joints and repairs to the concrete deck and substructure. During the repairs, the Blackstrap Road Bridge will be reduced to one way alternating traffic with a temporary traffic signal.
