Parks Groundkeeper & Equipment Operator
The Town of Cumberland is hiring a full-time Parks Groundkeeper/Equipment Operator. This position involves a combination of skilled and semi-skilled work within the Parks/Public Services Department. Duties involve all aspects of ground maintenance at municipal and recreational facilities. The successful candidate must be able to operate mowers, weed whackers and ground maintenance equipment, drive and operate a dump truck with snowplow and wing, operate a backhoe and/or trackhoe, front-end loader with a bucket, and other miscellaneous road maintenance equipment. Must be extremely dependable and able to perform heavy physical labor and able to work in all weather conditions. Will be required to work other than normal working hours during storms and emergency events. Must possess a valid State of Maine Class B Commercial Driver’s License or have the ability to obtain within 6-months of employment.
