Veterans Monument
In 2010, the Cumberland Veterans Monument Committee compiled names of Cumberland veterans. Under the authority of 38 U.S.C. 501(a), “Veteran” means a person who served in the active military, naval, or air service and who was discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. The Committee accepted a definition of “Veteran” to include any person who served in the active military or reserves and who was discharged under conditions other than dishonorable.

Only those Veterans who have an application with proper documentation submitted will be included on the monument.
