Monday night, March 14th, the Town Council will hear a presentation from the Town Manager on the Route 100 Redevelopment Plan, ahead of the Neighborhood Meeting scheduled for March 22nd. This presentation, and subsequent meeting, are regarding the plan for safety improvements and future development along the Route 100 corridor, on the west side of Cumberland. The Town Manager will show ideas for a roundabout, at the intersection of Route 100, Skillins Road and Blackstrap Road, plus concepts for possible growth in that area. This plan is in very early stages, and we are looking for input to enhance both the safety of travel in the area and make more of a destination for residents and those from surrounding communities. We invite you to watch here or attend the Council meeting Monday night and then join us at the Neighborhood Meeting, Tuesday March 22nd at 6:00 pm at the West Cumberland Hall.

Also, the Town Council would like to remind residents that Budget Workshops are ongoing. However, the Town Council will be attending the March 21st MSAD #51 School Board meeting, to hear the district’s budget presentation. Due to that meeting, we have rescheduled the March 21st budget workshop and extended the budget process by one week. Click here to see the new schedule.
