22 – 003 To hear an update on amendments to Chapter 86 (Medical Marijuana Registered Caregiver Licensing) of the Cumberland Code, as recommended by the Ordinance Committee.
On Monday evening, the Town Council will hear an update on amendments to Chapter 86 (Medical Marijuana Registered Caregiver Licensing) of the Cumberland Code, as recommended by the Ordinance Committee. After a six-month process, with comprehensive research into what surrounding communities are proposing and legal review, the Ordinance Committee is recommending a focus on the licensure of Medical Marijuana Registered Caregivers.
Retail sales are still not permitted in Cumberland and are not being considered as part of this ordinance adoption.
This is an informational update on amendments and will be an opportunity for public comment. There will also be a public hearing and then final vote at the January 24th Town Council meeting.
