Council Corner - Formation of Housing Task Force

At the meeting on June 6th, the Town Council will consider the formation of a Housing Task Force to provide recommendations to the Town Council on ways to facilitate the development of affordable housing the community. At a May 23rd workshop, the Council discussed the structure and charge of this task force. As currently proposed, this Task Force would consist of seven appointed members including public officials and private citizens, who would consider all possible affordable housing needs and opportunities, including but not limited to, those for low income individuals and families, seniors, refugees, asylum seekers, etc. The Task Force would be given a specific time frame, at which point they would report their findings and recommendations to the Town Council.
