Council Corner - Bruce Hill Water Update

The Bruce Hill Road Area Water Main Project is aimed at fixing the water quality and quantity issues for homeowners and the water supply needed for fire suppression. The planning and preliminary design for this Water Main Project is in this coming FY2023 budget and scheduled to begin by Fall 2022. In addition, Town Manager Shane also submitted a Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) request to the Office of Senator Angus S. King, Jr., for the construction costs of the project. We recently received notice that Senator King’s office is moving the project forward to the Senate Committee on Appropriations. Senators who sit on that committee will begin reviewing the projects and decide, with the limited available pool of dollars, which project requests to fund. This is an important first step and we will continue to provide updates as we learn more.
