Lizzie Copp

This week's historical feature is Lizzie M. Copp, (1884-1976). Lizzie was a teacher and the first president of the West Cumberland Community Club, a social, literary, and charitable organization.
The photo above shows Lizzie's Class at the District 4 Shawtown School. The school closed in 1950 and has since been converted into the current J. Brothers Variety store on Route 100. (Photos Courtesy of Prince Memorial Library)
