Our Maine spring weather, coupled with the fact that many residents are becoming more comfortable moving around after vaccination, has resulted in a dramatic increase in speeding complaints around town.
The Police Department wants you to know that we are patrolling Cumberland’s roads and are monitoring traffic for speed and other violations. We all want our town to be a safe place for walkers, cyclists, and fellow motorists. Please be mindful of your speed and consider whether a suppertime conversation with other drivers in your family might be helpful to assist us in ensuring safe Cumberland roadways. Thank you!
