Val Halla Junior Golf Camp
Instructor(s): Brian Bickford, Val Halla Golf Course Head Golf Professional; Colin Geiger (NYA Alumni and Stonehill College); and James Sterling (NYA Alumni and Denver University)
There is no one road to golf improvement. Val Halla Junior Golf Camps offer a variety of programs designed for the needs of each camper. Every facet of the game is covered. Mornings are spent in small instruction groups working on putting, chipping bunker play and the full swing. Afternoons are spent in supervised course play. Beginning, intermediate and advanced players can immerse themselves in the sport for an entire week.
Designed for Every Skill Level
Upon arrival at camp, all campers are evaluated by the director and staff and placed in a program that addresses their own instructional needs.
Level I - Beginning Golfers
If you just picked up a club for the first time or have only been playing a short while, this program is for you. We'll teach you how to attain that all-important, fundamentally sound swing, as well as the proper mechanics and basics of course play. You'll understand every aspect of the game from driving, irons, chipping and putting. Our ultimate objective is to give you the passion, skill and comprehension to not only enjoy the game, but to continue to improve beyond camp.
Level II - Intermediate Golfers
This one's for golfers with some prior playing experience, building greatness upon existing foundations. Specifically designed to help you develop and improve your swing, this program also helps you develop a positive attitude, instructs you on course management and teaches the rules and proper etiquette of the game.
Level III - High School Players
This program is specifically tailored to those golfers who are hoping to make the high school team and those already on the team looking to move up the ladder. Specific attention is given to swing development, course management and developing a positive competitive attitude. Current and soon to be high school players can sharpen their game and increase their self confidence.
